It’s been quite a while since I last updated this blog. My reading keeps going on (sure!), though of a pace a bit slower in this hot weather of summer, and bookshop visits have been so frequent as always… Reviews on books read will come. This time I just like to share a brief updates on Shakespeare & Co, the “bookshop”, on its faces in spring and summer of which I managed to take some shots. Enjoy!
In spring, unexpectedly I found cherry blossoms just in front of the bookshop. Never had thought that those trees were of cherry blossoms. It’s rather rare in Paris to find this typical tree of spring lined together, so it was really a nice surprise for me! We were walking around Notre-dame and the bookshop area just across the street, after having spent some time picnicking by the Seine. Weather was lovely that spring afternoon, sunny with cool fresh breeze, and everybody was just out and smiling! 🙂
The bookshop in summer. The door is now always open to get in some air, and more and more people sitting outside, reading or just gathering.
Regular reading is managed outdoor during summer (other seasons will be indoor, in the library on the 1st floor). The reading takes place on mondays around 7 pm.
I know I will miss this place and its magical ambiance when I’ll leave this city..

wahhh…. ngiler.com….
emg tempat ini ngangenin, fer…
thx ya udh jalan2 ke sini 🙂
mei, are you sure you’re NOT gonna miss this view? =)
aaahhh..please grab something for me there before you leave, hihihi…
iya, tid, udah mulai kangen!
Mba Meiiii.. Ituh toko bukunya bagus bgt! Selalu suka deh sama suasana toko buku yg kecil dan “homy” spt itu.. 🙂 Pasti betah deh berlama2 di situ (walo ga beli bukunya, hehe)
Aku pingin bgt punya toko buku/perpustakaan buku anak, hihi, gara2 nonton film “You’ve Got Mail”. Di situ Kathleen Kelly (Meg Ryan) punya toko buku kecil dan setiap minggunya ada storytelling. Asik ya! 😀
diaaan… emg ni toko buku bikin betah bgt, pdhl sempit dan gak beraturan gitu, tapi cozzzzyyy banget..! bikin kangen. dan mereka gak peduli kita masuk mau beli buku ato gak, mau liat2 doang kek, foto2 kek, duduk2 sambil baca, ato sekedar mengendus2 bau buku… 🙂
yup moga cita2mu tercapai ya… punya toko buku kyk punyanya si kathleen kelly, bisa sambil kasih kursus gambar anak-anak tuh, berdasarkan buku yg br dibacain atau yg mrk baca… hmmm sweet bgt… 🙂
Wuiihh, asik bgt mba!
Amiinnn.. *peluk mba mei* (aku amin-i ya mba walo ga tau bakalan terwujud apa ga, hihi..). Idenya mba Mei keren bgt. SUKA! 😀
