There are those hearts, readers, that never mend again once they are broken. Or, if they do mend, they heal themselves in a crooked and lopsided way, as if sewn together by a careless craftsman.
(Kate DiCamillo – The Tale of Despereaux)
“Life being very short, and the quiet hours of it few, we ought to waste none of them in reading valueless books.” (John Ruskin)
love this quote T.T
I have been there 😦
i think everybody has, and most of them got tougher someway, though.. 😉
yup, quote khas kate dicamillo ya, gayanya anak2, tapi maknanya sedih.
Made, I am going to look this book up. Sounds melancholic and heartbreaking, just what I like! 😉
hi JoV… this book is one of my favorites! It’s a children book, with funny parts as normally found in children books, but it also has a melancholic element, just a typlical style of Camillo I think.
ah aku suka suka suka kisah despereaux!
iya, sedih kutipannya tp maknanya dalem bgt, hiks..
‘the miraculous journey of edward tulane’ jg bagus dan sedih, mba..

sepertinay sceritanya Camillo emg selalu ada unsur sedihnya ya, semacam perasaan ditinggalkan atau merasa outsider gitu… tapi tetep suka! 🙂
